About the opportunity:
The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth is looking for an experienced professional to fill the full-time role of Finance Officer. The Finance Officer is responsible for payroll functions, and accounts receivable / payable functions. This position will assist Director of Finance in report preparation and financial analyses as required. The Finance Officer will also mentor and oversee activities of the Accounting Clerk position.
Salary commensurate with education and experience (56,739 – 88,654).

About you:
The ideal candidate will have accounting diploma from Community college or degree in a business administration program, (focus on accounting would be an asset). A minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting and payroll administration functions using computer applications is preferred.
