PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT
at its Regular Council meeting on June 26, 2024, Council approved second and final reading of Municipal Streets, Sidewalks, and Trails By-Law M-089-24.

This By-law is made under the Provisions of the Municipal Government Act.  The purpose of this by-law is to provide guidelines regarding activities or conditions affecting municipal streets, sidewalks, trails and other property owned by the Municipality.

NOTICE OF APPROVAL

This is to advise that Council, at its regular meeting held on May 29, 2024, in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Administration Building, civic #932 Highway 1, Hebron, approved the second and final reading of the
Re-zoning for PID 90232257.

The purpose of this rezoning is changing the property from Hamlet Residential to Hamlet Commercial for the purpose of short-term accommodations. This PID is also known as 3087 Main Shore Road, Port Maitland.

NOTICE OF APPROVAL

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth Council adopted the amendment to the Municipal Land Use By-law on March 27, 2024.

The documents have been reviewed and approved by the Department of Municipal Affairs as per Section 208 of the Municipal Government Act. In accordance with Section 169 of the Municipal Government Act these amendments become effective as of the date of this notice.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Sale to Divest Port Maitland Fog Alarm Building

In accordance with Section 51(4) of the Municipal Government Act, Council of the Municipality of Yarmouth will be holding a Public Hearing on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at a Council Meeting beginning at 6:15 PM in the Municipal Administration Building located at 932 Highway 1 in Hebron, NS.

The purpose of the sale is to divest the surplus property, which is the former Fog Alarm Building and Land, located 3229 Main Shore Road, Port Maitland, NS. The estimated value of the property is $26,000.

Any written submissions concerning the sale to divest the surplus property should be submitted to the Municipal Administration Building at least five business days before the Public Hearing. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth intends to consider repealing and replacing its current Commercial Development District Improvement (CDDI) By-Law.

At its regular meeting held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, Council approved first reading of CDDI By-Law C-038-24 with the intent to repeal and replace the current documents.

In accordance with Section 206 of the Municipal Government Act the Council of the Municipality of Yarmouth intends to hold a Public Hearing to consider amending these documents.

The Public Hearing will be held on at the Administration Building, 932 Highway 1, Hebron, NS at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

The purposed documents may be viewed by interested persons by clicking here or at the Municipal Building between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday up until the day of the public hearing. Fees will be applied for requested printed copies.
