Municipality of the District of Yarmouth - truly connected

Procurement is the process the Municipality uses to purchase goods and services. This must be done in an open and transparent manner. The Municipality uses a variety of methods to purchase these goods and services, all outlined in the pdf Procurement and Purchasing Policy.

The Municipality of Yarmouth will, from time to time, issue public Requests for Proposal or Tenders and other requests for which competitive responses are required.

Tenders, Requests for proposals (RFP), and other competitive procurement requests may be posted through the Nova Scotia government tender notices website:

https://beta.novascotia.ca/find-public-tender-notices

It is the sole responsibility of the vendor to monitor the Nova Scotia government website mentioned above, for any addenda that may be issued to open procurement procedures.

Results of all procurement procedures are also available on the same site.

Current Procurement Opportunities:

Request for Proposals

The Municipality of the District of Yarmouth is inviting proposals for the Cape Forchu Lighthouse Parking Lot Expansion & Site Enhancement Project.
As part of the Cape Forchu Master Plan, this project will see the development of a new, expanded parking area at the Wentzell House site to improve accessibility, safety, and the overall visitor experience at one of Yarmouth’s most iconic heritage and tourism destinations. This project will help support the long-term sustainability and operations of the Cape Forchu Lighthouse.
Interested contractors are encouraged to review the full procurement. Full details can be found here: Cape Forchu Parking Lot Procurement
