PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT at its regular Council meeting on April 22, 2026, Council approved first reading of Domestic Water Improvement Loan By-Law D-486-26. This By-law is made under the provisions of the Municipal Government Act.
Council proposes to repeal and replace Water Supply Lending Program By-Law W-1028-25 and consider adopting Domestic Water Improvement Loan By-Law D-486-26.
A second reading for the By-Law will occur at the Regular Council meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, at 6:00 pm.

Notice of Approval: Wind Turbine Requirements
Amendments to the text of the Municipality of the District of Yarmouth’s Municipal Planning Strategy were approved by Council on March 25, 2026. The mandatory review by the Department of Municipal Affairs was completed May 13, 2026. The amendments reduce the required minimum distance wind turbines must be located from lot lines, ensuring that they do not exceed the maximum requirements established by the Province. These amendments are effective the date of this notice.
