Councillor Trevor Perry

Councillor Trevor Perry is the newly elected representative for District 7, with deep roots in the Yarmouth and Chebogue area as a direct descendant of Moses Perry, a founder of Yarmouth in 1761.

Born in Yarmouth and raised in Barrington, Trevor moved to the HRM to attend business college. After graduating, he spent six years in management in the HRM before returning to Chebogue twenty-six years ago. There, he became the 5th generation to work on the family’s beef cattle farm, which also operates a provincially inspected abattoir.

In addition to his work on the farm, Trevor is actively involved in the local 4H program and the Yarmouth Farmers Market. He is also a founding member of Life Skills for Disabled Adults.

Along with his partner Lynne and their six adult children, who are occasionally away for school or training, Trevor calls the Yarmouth area home.

Excited about the challenge of representing his neighbors in District 7, Trevor looks forward to learning more about this responsibility. He believes the municipality has a highly qualified council and staff and is eager to work with them to improve the community.
