Municipality of the District of Yarmouth - truly connected

Phil Mooney

After a 4 year hiatus from Municipal politics with the Town of Yarmouth, serving as mayor, deputy mayor and councilor over 15 years, Phil returns to the table as a municipal councilor for District 3.

He is well versed in rural and town issues. As an elected town official, he has chaired and sat on numerous committees. As mayor, Phil had the opportunity to engage all municipal units in the province of Nova Scotia during the restoration of our ferry service through the NS International Ferry Partnership.

Phil has served on provincial and federal agencies, as well as a town caucus rep on the NSFM and is currently serving on the provincial board of NSFM.

Outside of his council duties, Phil is involved in multiple community organizations such as Knights of Columbus ,Yarmouth Links, Yarmouth Argyle Home Support, Villa St Joseph and The Meadows.

During their spare time, Phil and his wife Darlene enjoy travelling and spending time on the golf course,  and also enjoying the view on their property on the  river in Carleton.
