A public hearing in municipal government is a formal meeting where community members can share their opinions, concerns, or support on issues or proposed by-laws that affect the local community. These hearings give residents a chance to voice their views and offer feedback, which can influence the final decisions made by the governing body. They are held according to legal requirements set out by the Municipal Government Act
